County Fair Carnival

Today we bought tickets to a Monster Truck show and Demolition Derby, but I was on the mountain doing bridal pictures with my sister until late and we ended up missing the show.
But we were able to catch the last hour of the County fair Carnival.
Its nostalgic, as well as scary that these are all the same rides I grew up on riding at the fair every year for the last 15 years 😂 At what point do they retire these machines and get new equipment? lol
Michael was brave and went on the Gravitron with Dylan.
We all went on my favorite ride, that spins in a circle while the pods free spin. The kids laughed hysterically the entire time.
And we also all rode the Ferris wheel. I have been afraid of Ferris wheels since I was young. I always have a nightmare after the fair that the Ferris wheel hops off the hold and rolls over people. 😂
So we talk the boys into riding with us, thinking we could all go in one pod, but they made the boys sit in a separate one. Poor Dylan was terrified, and I was freaking out as they started and stopped the wheel to load people on. The creaking and shaking was terrifying!
But after everyone got on and it got going it was actually a lot of fun. Me and Dylan high fived when we got off for conquering our fears.
Overall it was a great night, even if we were just there for an hour.

Samantha's Bridal Shoot

My sister is so beautiful! I can't believe she is getting married next month!!
Her mother-in-law to be Sara Postma took these amazing Bridals of her.

I took this picture from the dam wall while I was waiting to help move the dress. If there was ever a picture that summed up Samantha it would be this one. Beautiful, but a country girl to her core. She loves to fish. I'm glad we got this shot!

Lake Day & Mud Masks

Today my sisters, mom, and I all went up to the Lake to get some sun and have a girls day.
You can tell which one of us lived up North forever 😂 The Irish in us doesn't tan too well lol
The water was too cold to enjoy swimming, so I said I was NOT getting in. And my sisters took it upon themselves to cover me in Mud so I would have to. Which resulted in a huge mud war, and us all having to do the Ice water challenge to get it off! Haha. Mom was the only lucky one to not get smeared. Can you tell who won?

Sam turns 21! 🍻

On June 4th my little sister hit the big 21!

She doesn't like Birthday cake, so we made her a cheesecake instead and I put it in a Margarita glass and sugared the rim so it was festive. She loved it!
Then on the 15th we went to The Gateway Saloon with her soon to be sister in law and had a Girls Night out.
Some guys kept buying us bottles and bottles of Budweiser, but Sam and I only drink the fruity stuff. Kylee did her best to take down a bunch of them, but every time a guy would stop at our table we would send them off with a couple. 😅
Sam got a vodka cranberry, took 2 sips and decided she didn't like vodka- or cranberries 😂
He favorite drink is called a "No no" which is a specialty one of the bartenders there came up with.
It's about 50% Coconut Rum, 40% Pineapple Mixer, and 10% Lemonaid.
It tastes like a Pina Colada with a summer twist.
It was my first official time in a Real bar (not just sports bars) and we actually had a lot of fun.

Dylan's Birthday

Today Baby Dylan turns 11! Where has the time gone?
I asked him what he wanted for his "Birthday Lunch" and he said 40 chicken nuggets!! We settled on 20 haha.
He wanted us to make a cake that looked like "Dirt & Worms" and make little dirt pudding cups to go with it for his party.
My dad got the old water slide pumping and they put yard lights and glow sticks down it so it looked like a neon runway. Every kid in the neighborhood must have been here, it was the party of the summer!
This is the most redneck water slide you will ever see, but it is a blast! Several years ago when they tore down the waterslide at the old pool they gave us whatever we could haul away. So my dad ended up with several pieces of it. Now its a slide in the summer and a sled run in the winter.
It also beats the crap out of my mom.

Off Road Adventures

My soon to be brother in law brought up his Side-by-Sides and 4 wheeler and we all went out to the Dunes today.
First, we had to do some test laps in the field behind my parent's house.

Then we loaded everything up and headed towards the Green River. And spent the majority of the day tearing up the Sand dunes and driving around all the places we all used to Party in High School. When you grow up in a small town you spend most friday nights out in the sticks having a bonfire and hiding from the cops 😂
Being back here reminds me how much I missed this place and how much there is to do around here. All you need are old pallets and a beater truck.
