Goodbye 2018

2018 was a good year!

We spent more time and did more things with the family than we have since we moved. We took time for fun, and time for us. We did things just for the heck of it.
We had some challenges and serious personal growth. I learned sometimes the best choice for you is the hardest one to make. And often things that seem horrible to go through, you look back on with gratitude for where you are now.
Sometimes you just have to set yourself down, reevaluate everything, and make a plan to get where you want to be. Sometimes the only thing stopping you- is you.
I made new years plans and goals. I am focused on achieving what I want next year. And I am excited for everything I have in the works.
Happy New Years.

This January we posted "We have learned that while it is important to put your responsibilities as a priority. It is also important to invest in yourself. You cant live every day because you have to. Sometimes you just have to put yourself first, and trust that every little thing will be alright in the end. So doing small things once in awhile just to make yourself happy is a Must. You should always have something to be excited about, and always looking forward."
And I think we did an awesome job of that in 2018.
Cheers to next year and all it may bring!

Merry Christmas 2018

Every Christmas morning we wake up to an early phone call "are you up yet? Come Skype us so we can open our gifts!" 😂
7 am on the dot, I roll out of bed to set up the computer and Michael and I sit on the couch sleepily watching them open their gifts.

I always post a Christmas video on our Youtube channel so watch out for that.
Our dogs get to open their Christmas presents right away. They don't like waiting for a picture either.
If you're wondering why only Wesley is in this picture and not Radar....

I am also obsessed with Christmas Cards and I hang them all on my fridge. So if you are ever wondering if you should send us one- if we would want one- the answer is YES!

Merry Christmas Everyone! We hope you have a wonderful holiday with the ones you love and this next year brings you great things.

My Parents 21st Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to my Parents 💕

They have been "together" since they were 15 years old. They got married in their 20s and have been together since. Even with everything they've been through over all this time they are still just as sweet and loving to each other as always. They set the perfect of example for what I wanted a marriage to be like. Love you both!

I always thought they had gotten married on Christmas Adam, but turns out they were actually married Christmas Eve. e

I am That Dog Mom

I wanted our Christmas cards to go out the First of December but I had to wait until Pet Photos with Santa so I could add them to our cards! 😂
So Here they are... 2018 Christmas Cards:

And they are the two cutest boys I've ever seen in their little Santa sweaters! 😍

24 Rotations around the Sun

Today marks my 24th year of survival. 😅
I had to work since I took Sunday-Wednesday off to go to Utah. So I spent all day at work with the animals. I already got my birthday gift last month (Black Friday) and I didn't have much to be excited about- everything after 21 is just downhill anyways. lol
When I called Micheal on my way home from work he said he had just gotten off and home and wanted to know what I was gonna make for dinner? Same stuff, different day haha.
When I opened the door to our apartment I was in shock!
When I left that morning my house was a WRECK. Between working nonstop all last week and packing last minute to leave for Utah my house was a nightmare. So messy I was afraid I would die during the drive and whomever had to clean out my place afterwards would be mortified. I was DREADING coming home and having to clean the kitchen and dishes. But Michael had gotten off work early and cleaned EVERYTHING for me. All the dishes, the kitchen, the house!
He had gotten me flowers, and a card, and a little stuffed schnauzer (Im obsessed)
Not only did he get me a card- He wrote me an entire letter inside it! 💕
He baked me a cake! Michael has never baked anything before in his life, but he got one of the cake mixes I had stashed away and it was baked and ready for me to come home.
AND he was in the process of cooking us dinner (Thank you Hello Fresh for step-by-step meal plans!) I did have to finish dinner though 😂 Blacked Penne is a bit complicated and after he attempted to dice a whole bell pepper and then panicked asked me how to get rid of all the seeds everywhere I stepped in.
I felt like I walked into a dream- I never imagined he could pull something like this off. I was totally unsuspecting! Usually I know if he is up to something. I told him I can't explain how amazing this gift is- but it is one of my favorite birthdays ever!
Acts of Service is one of my Love languages and the amount of thought and effort he put into just trying to make me happy makes me so unbelievably grateful that he is mine! 💕 Wether the house was perfect, or the cake was great, or the food tasty (and it all was!) The thought and effort that he put in is all anyone could ever ask for.
Take notes men- Michael just raised the bar!
He is #Goals

I'll be home for... my Birthday?

Somehow this time of year always sends me South.
Not Christmas, but my Birthday.
I was able to drive down to my Home town on Sunday (1st) and Stay through Tuesday (4th)
In 2016 the same thing- I had an impromptu trip home for my Birthday. Its funny how that new Facebook Memories shows you patterns in your life. lol
Anyways,
Every time we go home I drive past our old place. This was the first place Michael and I moved in together. It was where we spent the first 9 months of our marriage. And it holds a special place in my heart. So I am always creeping taking pictures as I drive by and reminisce.
I spent Monday waking up and getting ready with my sisters like we used to when I lived there and we do now every time we are all together. We pull the wall mirror out to the living room and to my fathers dismay we drag all of our makeup and products across the floor and just sit there doing our makeup forever and enjoying each others company. There is no better feeling than to be 100% your weird self and have the ones around you be just as weird and fun as you. Sisters really are your first and true best friends.
I don't think when my dad had 3 daughters he expected to be our Photographer lol But like the amazing supportive dad he is he took like 30 shots to get our "Insta Glam" worthy picture 😂 He commits and takes different shots at different angles to find "the one" lol.
We always joke that we are the country Kardashians. And we argue over which one of us is who from the show. But not a one of us sisters got a butt big enough for TV. lol
Also my mom is Adorable and I hope I get to be as cute as her one day!
My little brothers were looking like siblings of Shaggy from Scooby Doo so when I picked them up from school to hang out we went and go their hair professionally cut so they could look cute in Christmas pictures.
While we were down there I got to take some time to go visit my Best Friend Kesley. I LOVE just sitting in her cute house with her cute kids and just talking for hours. I miss the time we used to spend and our "Therapy Tuesdays". One thing I look forward to when we move back is just being able to spend more time with her.
Michael and I also got to go see his Brother Sterling and Becky and their kids. They were decorating Ginger bread houses when we arrived. I really miss hanging out at their house too. And I hope if we ever do get to move back they will live close also. Michael adores his nephews.
Tuesday Night we went and had Family dinner at the farm like my family does every Sunday. We were supposed to have cake as well but things got hectic. My Grandpa Perry's birthday is on the 6th & mine is the 7th. So its somewhat a tradition that we have cake together. Even when I was a kid and they lived in Blanding 6 hours away I remember going to visit them on my birthday and us having cake together. Grandpa would eat the cake and I would eat the frosting. lol
My family is #SquadGoals.
