Christmas 2021

This years Christmas Cards were simple and just had this cute photo of my kids being adorable by the Christmas tree.

I got a bonus for my promotion this year that Michael didn't know about- so I really surprised him this year with the New Apple Watch series 7. He was not expecting that! And he is so hard to surprise, so it's really fun when I am able to pull something like this off. 

And then Michael surprised me with an assortment of gifts as well.

And I am so happy with how they turned out!

Friendship Photos (Celebrating 15 years of friendship)

In the last 15 years our lives may have taken us in completely different directions and 1000 miles apart- but our friendship has evolved with us and we're still best friends through it all.

Florida 🌴

On June 28th- July 3rd Michael flew out to Florida to go on a vacation with his family.

It was a last minute trip and I had training classes I had to be at for my job, (also the idea of flying in a plane is about as exciting as getting a root canal for me), so I chose to stay behind and take care of our fur kids. But I thought it was important for Michael to spend some quality time with his parents and told him he had to go. He was so excited!

I told him since I wasn't there I expected him to take ALL the pictures 😅 And he did not disappoint.

Can we just take a second to appreciate how happy he looks? He had a BLAST!

While they were there, among visiting family friends and key locations in his parents youth, they also went to Epcot. Which he thought was mostly for kids- until he got there. It was an experience he can't wait to relive.

Getting Lola a dog

 Lola is one of my dear sweet customers- who I've adopted as my "Grandma" out here.

Recently she lost her best friend of 15 years- Shania, to the sad time of old age. She was heartbroken. And her dog was the only 'family' she has out here. 

So after a month of hunting, negotiating, and planning- I was able to track down a dog of the same breed and gender- who was old enough to be out of that puppy stage, and bring some joy back in Lola's life.

It took a literal village to get her here! I had to find the dog (from a guy in Northern Utah) And my sister Harley had to pick it up, with the supervison and security of my Uncle Dillions sister who went out of her way to make sure that my sister wasn't meeting a stranger alone. Then Harley drove 3 hours to get the dog to my parents. Who took care of it for a week and then drove 8 hours to WY to meet me half way! We spent the night and had dinner together and hung out. And then I drove the 8 hours back to deliver her here. I am so grateful that I have people in my life who are willing to do things and go out of their way to help me help someone like this. And Im so happy we were able to do accomplish this for Lola, I truly believe this has made a huge difference for her. 

DTS Promotion

 

Today I finished my training and I am officially the DTS of our Depot.

Which basically just means I am in charge of training all our new drivers. 

 I really love my Job and all the opportunities it has brought me. 

I have met so many amazing people who I value as more than just customers- but many have become my friends. I am so excited that after just 1 year I have already moved up in this company- and Im excited to see where this takes me in the future!

Mikes Dirty Thirty 30

 Today Michael hit the big 3-0.

He is officially through the practice mode- and into full adulthood.

I asked him what his goals for the next decade were and this is what he said:

1) Stay in good shape and good Health. Get rid of bad habits and focus on wellness.

2) Settle down in a place we want to stay- Buy a Home. 

3) Focus on our family and personal life. Finding that work/life balance vs always just hustling.

6 years of Marriage

 

For our Anniversary this year we went on our first real date of 2020.

We've been laying low and waiting out this pandemic, but we decided to go mini golfing and bowling tonight- just to have something fun to do together. 

Mini golf here is cute- but more geared towards children... or drunk people. It wasn't a challenge. lol

And then we just watched movies and hung out. Winters in the North aren't very eventful.

I asked Michael what he learned from 6 years of marriage, and he said: "never get complacent and always try to watch for if your partner is in need of something."

Thanksgiving with the Smiths

 This year Michael's family traveled up and came to visit with us for Thanksgiving.

The spent 3 days with us at our new place out here. We spent Thanksgiving enjoying the food. And Black Friday exploring the town.

We didn't get many pictures of our adventure- but we did get a pretty great video...

 When we went Home for Vacation a couple weeks ago we gathered all the Family together and captured this amazing Family Photo (Thanks the Becky!) Getting a good photo with this many people is no small feat!

 Today we all met at our the GrandPerry Farm to take family photos all together

Hadlee is hardly 2 months old, and she looks like a doll.

The Farm is up for sale as my grandparents want to downsize and travel in their retirement. So no-one knows exactly how many Sunday dinners and get togethers we have left here. 

This was the first time Uncle Dillion got to hold Hadlee- and the first time in my life I have ever seen him willingly take a picture!

Meeting Hadlee for the first time

Hadlee was born back in August. But because of the distance we had to travel we weren't able to be home right away. And since it is currently a Pandemic situation- we wanted to wait a couple weeks before we brought any potential bugs with us when we headed South. But today- after so much anticipation... I finally got to hold my niece for the first time! 💓
