Late Night Emergency

Life has a great way of making sure you never feel totally in control. Last night around 8pm I got a call from Michael that he was headed to the emergency room in the closest town by him, which was 130 miles from me at home. He had serious pain in his chest and he was having a hard time breathing. Of course the weather was terrible that night, with black ice everywhere and thick fog. But I wasn't staying at home waiting to hear wether or not he was ok.
It was the scariest drive of my life. On one hand I thought he was going to die, and I couldn't get to him fast enough. And on the other hand I thought I was going to slide off the road or crash and die myself. When I finally got to the Hospital I walked in to find my poor husband like this.
After a couple hours the Dr. concluded that it was not a heart attack and sent us home. Saying he thinks its some sort of 'Pericarditis' and gave him a prescription. Even though he still hurt and theres something not quite right the Dr. said take some aspirin and he should be fine.
We will be going to see a Cardiology specialist for further tests if he still hurts in a few days.
