New Year 2019

This year I have many things in the works.
Our main goal is to be 100% debt free by next January. We have been working towards this goal for 3 years now, and the end is finally in our sites.
The lawsuit with Ashley Creek was finally paid off last year and we can put that nightmare behind us. Now we have a few lose ends to tie up, and to finish off our back tax payments and we will be home free!!

Also on our agenda- this year (within the next few months) we will be investing a large chunk of money into having both our dental work completed. Michael has another root canal and a crown we have been putting off. And I need a few fillings. Its just something that we have said "we just can't afford right now" but also been neglecting because who really wants to have dental work done? We also both have physicals scheduled in January because its time to stop putting off unpleasant appointments and take our health seriously. Although there aren't many concerns at the moment, its reassuring to have everything checked every now and then.

The thing I am most excited for this year is that I will be re-opening my Photography business this spring! I am going to invest in a new professional DSLR camera before we go on our summer adventures. I plan to do some promo shoots in May and be booking sessions in June. I have a bunch of old lighting equipment I need to get from my parents. And I need to rename my page since I am no longer in the Rocky Mountains- and will be working solo from now on. I am SO excited about finally taking this jump!!

Michael and I will also be celebrating 5 years together this year! And since we never got a honeymoon we are hoping to go on a vacation this fall. We have a few ideas in the air, and while Cuba, Ireland, and Venice all came up, I think we will probably stay state-side for this one. Right now we are considering the Keys.

Its easy to daydream, and while I have meticulously made our budget and goals lined out to achieve them, who knows what this next year will hold. If everything goes as planned we will be enjoying the beach next winter, but who knows. Hopefully when I recap this on New Years we are checking off this list and so much more!

We are excited to see what this year will bring all of us. Cheers to 2019! Lets make it the best one yet!
