We are Vlogging now!

So Mike and I have officially upped our YouTube game. We are making new videos every week and trying to get them posted Sunday nights so they are up at the beginning of each week.
I think it is such a fun way to save our memories and make our family videos last a lifetime.
So if you click on the YouTube button on the right side of our Blog page here it will take you to our channel. Please Subscribe to that as we would like to reach 100 subscribers soon so we can have a custom URL. (I want to be the first Mike and Me so we can call dibs on that name. Shhhh)
So along with weekly posts here on our blog we will have little videos to go along with them. And you can watch them and share them all you want, they are public.
So for todays Vlog, we took our dogs to the dog wash because they were both in desperate need of a bath! Radar found the experience somewhat traumatic.
Then we took them out for Ice cream 🍦 We should have got pup cup size but they gave us small and I think that may have been a little too much for them. But they enjoyed it.

I have a Story for y'all about how we almost died because I am a spacey driver.
And then I show off my new sprouts and awesome cooking skills before we call it a day.
Thank you for watching our vlogs! We love you!

Spring Paw Art

Today we woke up to a snowstorm in April!
So since we were stuck inside all day on our day off, we did a little spring craft project.
I wanted the dogs paw prints painted, and we decided to do our hands too
and make it a family project.
Mike is blue, Im pink, Wesley is Green, and Radar is Yellow.
There is a full video on our channel of us painting this picture.
The dogs did NOT enjoy the experience lol but Im glad we made this little keepsake.
Its so cute!

Happy Easter 2017

Happy Easter Weekend from our Bunnies to you!
We wanted to do an outside photo in the freshly greening grass,
but Saturday was windy and today is cloudy with a hint of snow.
Yay North Dakota weather...
These guys are more "Inside Bunnies" anyways.

"Drink Bleach" is not a joke!

So last night our little monsters had a scary incident.
I had poured some strong bleach water in a pot of left over pasta (I had pasta smell! Ew!)
I had set it outside so it could soak and I could clean it when I got back from work, but it would be safe from the dogs. But when I got home I opened the balcony to let in the fresh air and the dogs rushed out and went straight for the pasta.
I thought dogs would naturally avoid bleach, but apparently they really wanted that food.
I pulled them away instantly, but they had lapped up a good amount.
I rushed them inside and gave hem food and water to help absorb the bleach, and then nothing happened so I hoped we were safe.
About 2 hours later they started to throw up so we called the emergency vet.
She had us give them milk, and check them for chemical burns, but said to just let them get it out.
So ALL. NIGHT. LONG. we stayed up and watched them.
They had to be on the tile floor, and they got sick like every 20 mins!

Luckily today they are back to their normal selfs and as long as everything stays normal for the next few days they will be ok.
It was scary to sit there all night just watching and hoping they would be ok. These are my babies!
I felt so bad for putting bleach down, and Im definatly more cautious now.

Exploring Old ND

Today we drove across the state and visited The Worlds Largest Buffalo, a vintage pioneer town, and some abandoned towns with old rustic buildings.
The buffalo was built out of concrete to attract travelers to detour off the bypass and into Jamestown ND. Even against the insane wind, it stands solid as a rock. You can clearly see it standing up on the hill as you drive by.
It worked, because after the 12th time we've driven by it I finally got Michael to stop.
Along the road leading up the the Buffalo is a vintage pioneer village. In the summer it is open and you can go inside the buildings and explore, eat, or shop. All those buildings are in our video below.
There are also 2 "ghost" towns along the road on our trip I have always wanted to see. Manfred and Balfour. There are a few (maybe 3) houses in good condition people still live in these areas, Im assuming land that was passed down that they are still farming and didn't want to move from. The rest of the little towns buildings breaking down around them. Its kind of haunted feeling.
Im not sure if we were supposed to be on that land so we didn't get out of the car much to explore the buildings further, and most of them looked like a death trap. But you can see whats left of those towns in the video as well.

Spring is Here! 2017

Even though there is still a bit of snow and ice still to melt, I think its fair to say Spring has arrived!
After what felt like an eternity, winter is leaving us! It was the worst winter we have had out here, and many of the people who have been here forever have said it was on of the worse ones they've seen. Im so glad that we are able to go outside again!
Yesterday we were driving down town and Michael was complaining "Why is it so hot and stuffy in this car?" haha it was 68 degrees outside! But after being in negative 40+ it feels very warm already.
We both had Sunday off and we took the evening to go out with the dogs and get some fresh air. It was the most perfect weather! Im so done with being inside!
